Who we are:
Oregon Community UMC is a quaint little chapel nestled back on Creek Road in the village of Oregon--just North of Oregon Dairy. The worship includes traditional hymns and an engaging, practical, Bible-based message. It provides an intimate atmosphere where you can get to really know other people and have them care for you. Oregon Community is not just a name, it really speaks to who we are. If you are looking for a worship community where you can get to know people and be known, Oregon Community UMC may be the place for you.

Chatting at the General Sutter - Mondays at 7pm at the General Sutter Inn -- A reboot of our former Lifetree Cafe Program
Chatting at the General Sutter Inn takes place every Monday from 7-8pm, using a new curriculum called The Wired Word (replacing the previous Lifetree Café curriculum). We will discuss various topics that have been in the news—making space for different opinions and for folks to enjoy an evening of conversation. Perhaps we will learn something new. This group is open to everyone. Monday, July 15 we will discuss news stories about two churches that have found ways to minister to the unchurched in new and fresh ways. Their stories and situations are quite different from each other, but they both are trying fresh approaches to what it means to do and be the church with their outreach ministries. July 22 we will dive into the question: “Are Americans Angrier Than a Generation Ago?” A new poll that indicates we are. That gives us a reason to think about the things that cause those emotions. July 29 we will discuss “Earthquakes”—those caused by geological fault lines and cultural fault lines as well.
Chat at the General Sutter Inn in Lititz on Monday nights @7pm. Bring friends who are not currently engaged with a church out for dinner and a discussion. You can buy appetizers, a meal and/or drinks during the session. Visit www.lifetreecafelancaster.us (website address to update in the August) for more info of the upcoming topics. And please like and follow us on Facebook to get weekly updates: Chatting at the General Sutter - Lititz. Stay tuned as these we eventually migrate to a new website.
