WEST DISTRICT DAY AT GRETNA GLEN on Saturday, September 6, 2025
This is a time for our West District United Methodist community to gather for fun and fellowship. Laity, clergy, family, and friends of folks from the EPAUMC West District are all welcome to join us at Gretna Glen Camp! We will worship together, enjoy lunch, and then have a variety of optional camp activities for all ages (boating, fishing, singing, crafts, plunger-chucking, etc....or just sit and visit awhile). We will have golf carts available to shuttle people, as needed. We want everyone to be able to participate. There is a good-sized parking lot, but carpooling might be helpful. On the day of the event, we will be accepting donations to support scholarships to Gretna Glen Retreats and Events via cash, check, or electronic giving. This event, however, is a free gift to all that attend.
September 6, 2025 @ Gretna Glen Camp and Retreat Center from 10:30 AM-3:00 PM. Come when you can. Leave when you have to. The address is 87 Old Mine Road, Lebanon, PA 17042.
You will be able to register at https://member.gnjumc.org/default.aspx?page=3352&occurrenceId=848&profileId=1655 so that we can plan for food and staffing for the event. You can also sign up in Hallway and Pastor Jason will register our church as a group.
COMMUNITY DAY at Oregon Community UMC on Sat., Sept 13 from 10AM-2PM
We will be selling Chicken BBQ, hotdogs, and baked goods. There will be a free bounce house, yard games, face painting and live music (with Mike and Tara). This is a fun free event for the whole family!!
CHURCH AND SOCIETY COMMUNITY CONVERSATION ON HOMELESSNESS at Faith UMC on Sunday, Sept 21 from Noon-1:30PM
Join us as we have a time of learning around “Homelessness and Housing Insecurity in Lancaster County” with Duncan Hopkins and then spend time in discussion about how we can be a part of the solution. A light meal will be provided. Please invite your congregations and communities to join us. It is open to all. Register by contacting Pastor Jason Perkowski (jbperkowski@gmail.com) with a headcount so we can plan for the food and seating.
YARD SALE at Faith UMC on Saturday, September 27 from 8AM - 1:00PM (RAIN OR SHINE)

TRIVIA NIGHT COMPETITION at OCUMC on Friday, October 24 from 6PM-8PM
You can come out and bring a team with you to compete at answering trivia questions created by Pastor Jason. The team that earns the most points after 4 rounds will get the prize. Everyone is welcome. There is no cost to play, but we will have hotdogs, pizza and drinks to sell for dinner/snacks. A sign up sheet will be available as we get closer. Challenge your friends, family and coworkers to come and compete with you or against you!
HOLIDAY CRAFT BAZAAR at OCUMC on Saturday, November 15 from 8AM – 1PM
Please mark this on your calendar. Vendors can rent a table to sell craft items in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up for a table if you are interested—and invite your friends and colleagues to do so—by calling Joetta at 717-371-0112.
REGULAR WEEKLY PROGRAMS:
Adult Bible Study every Sunday Morning at 8:00am in person at Oregon Community UMC in the Fellowship Hall.
The ROCK Youth Group (5th-12th grade) at Faith UMC in the Education Wing from 5-7pm
Join us for The R.O.C.K. Youth Group meetings at 5-7pm each Sunday night in person at Faith UMC. We'll check in with how you're doing, share in a meal, play some games, pray, do a Bible Study, and just chat. Feel free to invite friends, too. All youth entering 5th-12th grades are invited to join us.
GriefShare Group at Faith UMC at 5pm every Monday
This group helps people find support and process the loss of loved ones. We meet every Monday from 5-6:30 PM at Faith UMC in the Education Wing. Our next session will run from March 3 through June 9, 2025 (except for April 21 and May 26). Our program is open to everyone in the community whether or not you attend our church. Nar-Anon meeting at Faith UMC at 7:15pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month
Every week Nar-Anon meets at Faith UMC to support family members of individuals in in the midst of or recovery from addictions to narcotics. It is an open group, and all who have family struggling with these addictions are invited to come out to the meeting. They are meeting in the Welcome Center or the first classroom on the right in the Education Wing which is best entered by the second set of doors.
"Wing and a Prayer" AA meeting at Faith UMC at 10:00am Every Thursday Morning
Every week AA meets at Faith UMC to support one another in recovery. It is an open group, and all who are in recovery or beginning recovery are invited to come out to the meeting at 10am each week. They are meeting in the Fellowship Hall which is best entered by the second set of doors.
Friday Morning Bible Study & Prayer at Faith UMC at 10:00am -- meeting in the Fellowship Hall by the second set of doors from the parking lot.
Everyone is welcome to join us as Pastor Jason leads a Bible Study about the scripture readings for the upcoming worship service each week. This is a chance to deeply explore your faith—and how it impacts the rest of your life.
